Get $230 in bonuses from Comerica Bank when you get a new savings, checking, debit card, direct deposit, and online bill pay account.

The bonuses are paid monthly based on behaviour, so this deal is a bit more complex than the standard $100 new checking account offers we have seen from Chase and Bank of America, but it does pay better.

Comerica Bank’s Sensible Stimulus Package

• UP TO $30 for average monthly balance of $5,000 – $10,000 ($2.50 monthly payments for a total of 12 months) OR UP TO $60 for average monthly balance of $10,001 or more ($5 monthly payments for a total of 12 months)
• UP TO $50 deposited to your account 60 days after establishing a recurring direct deposit of at least $150 (Comerica Checking account must be open at least 6 months.)
• UP TO $60 Use your Comerica Check Card for purchases eight or more times each month ($5 monthly payments will be made to your checking account for a total of 12 months)
• UP TO $60 pay eight or more bills each month through Comerica Web Bill Pay ($5 monthly payments will be made to your checking account for a total of 12 months)

To qualify for the Comerica Bank Sensible Stimulus offers you must have an active Comerica personal checking account and register online at comerica.com/Sensible by September 4, 2009. New accounts and/or services must be established by August 31, 2009. Your participation will begin on the first full calendar month after you have registered for this offer.

To receive the bonus for Savings or Money Market accounts you must open a new Savings or Money Market account with at least $5,000 of new money not already on deposit with Comerica Bank, maintain the required average monthly balance ($5,000 for $30 offer; over $10,000 for $60 offer) and the account must remain open for at least 6 months.

Comerica will verify that you have met the terms of the offer and qualifying bonus payments will be credited to your Comerica checking account beginning 60 days after your eligibility. A maximum cash bonus of $230 will be paid per customer. Cash bonus is considered interest and will be reported on IRS Form 1099-INT.
